Esther (Part 2)

Todays we are finishing the book of Esther. Chapters 6-10

At the next feast the King asked what was Queen Esther’s wish. He said that it shall be giving whatever it was, even half of his kingdom. If I was her and heard those words I was of been in awe. But she was so humble she still feared for her and her people.

Queen Esther answered “If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be granted me for my wish, and my people for my request. For we have been sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to annihilated. If we had been sold merely as slaves, men and women, I would have been silent, for our affliction is not to be compared with the loss to the king.”  Can you imagine these words coming from your mouth? I would of begged for my life and my peoples but to say if they would of been sold for slaves she would of not done anything…. I sure would not of wanted that. She was always so humble she just wanted her and her peoples life not to be taken.

She told the King that Haman was the enemy and he was the one that wanted her and her people dead. The King had him hung on the same gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. & the King gave Esther the house of Haman but she did not want it so she gave it to Mordecai.

The King revoked the letter to destroy the Jews. The Jews were granted the power to destroy anyone that sought them harm. The day after the celebrated and sent food and gifts to one another. The carried on throughout generations.

Queen Esther was always so humble and strong. What does this lesson teach you? God always has a bigger plan for us. sometimes we think its to big for us and we can’t handle it.. But if he gives it to us, He knows we are strong enough to handle it. I pray that we can all be a little more like Esther and be humble each and everyday.
