Week 2 Day 4 HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Week 2 Day 4 HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?
“Mom, we are the soft place for every member of our family. God fashioned us that way and we need to embrace and revel in that blessed privilege.”
I love how today’s lesson is about seeing your home as a garden. It needs care, nourishment, and love for it to thrive and grow. I am taking this concept to heart because often I am not a “soft place” for my family members. I really need to slow down and appreciate the little moments! Luckily Jesus came to save the day! “The closer you get to Jesus, the more you see life His way-that life is a relationship, nurturing, serving, and experiencing the simple.” As mommy’s we are called to model Jesus’s Way of life for our children.
How are you going to nurture your “garden” this week?

  1. I really enjoyed this lesson as well and the analogy she used about the garden. I definitely agree our children need the same type attention that a plan needs; to be nourished and well taken care of. One way I plan to better take care of my garden this week is to spend more time reading to my sweet boy. (As long as he lets me anyway, haha.) 19 month olds don’t have the longest attention spans but I believe reading is important to further their knowledge. I also plan to just love on him and soak in every single second. I am thankful for this study because it’s reminded me just how much Jesus loves us and how precious motherhood is.
