Congrats! You made it to week 2! Lets talk about Stress! Stress is something that everyone deals with, it just happens in the craziness of our daily lives! But as Christians how do we combat stress? The Bible says in Proverbs 12:25 that “Anxiety weights down the human heart.”, so we know that stress is bad for our bodies. It even effects the people around us and as Christians that is not the kind of light we want to shine!
Romans 8:6 says “To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” Peace is the opposite of Stress, so if we set our mind on Jesus and trust in his guidance and will then we will have peace!
1 Peter 5:7 “Cast ALL your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” (emphasis mine)
If stress is something that you struggle with I challenge you to spend some time in prayer today “casting all your anxiety” on Jesus. Tell him your hopes and fears and stresses. Then leave it at the alter and have an amazing day!
I pray that we will trust in the Lord and have peace instead of stress as we walk through our daily lives.
